I think if I can get to work early enough today, I’ll begin reading some of the manuals that are available to help us run the store and operate the equipment efficiently. The more I know and learn, the more I can advance in this company. All these materials are readily available for the management to study, and probably should be required reading. As it is now, only bits and pieces are required. The rest is learned through experience and shoulder-to-shoulder teaching, when the opportunities arise for such things.

I may not be a spring chicken, but I’m not too old to learn new things and make myself a better employee in the process. Who knows? Someday I may just be a supervisor over several stores!
