I worked at the Other City store and closed last night. My main duty was to teach the other manager there how to run the shift efficiently, how to do the paperwork, and how to control costs and manage the money. He’s a new manager and still doesn’t know all the ropes. Last night was his first time closing, as he’s mostly just been working mid-shifts since becoming a manager.

I talked to my supervisor and put in an official request to be transferred to that store. It’s a longer drive but the work is far less stressful than at the current location. I’m hoping she’ll really consider transferring me. Might even get a boost in pay out of the deal, since I do have to drive further.

There is talk of transferring Son to another store in the same area as the one in Other City. He’s not that crazy about transferring, though. He’d rather stay where he’s at, where his friends and coworkers are. I think the new surroundings and new-to-him crew would be good for him, though.
