It’s definite. I’m going to start an eBay store soon and heaven help us all here when I do. I tend to have a one-track-mind when it comes to projects like this. I really think I can earn some money, but mostly, selling on eBay is just plain fun. I wind up focusing on taking pictures, writing interesting listing descriptions, and setting up the auctions to the point that my family begins to think I need addiction treatment so I can participate in other activities.

Still, it really is a lot of fun and I think I have a good source of valuable products I can list in an eBay store at good prices.

I just read an interesting article from the Associated Press about paid blogging. Most of you know already that I do write some posts that are sponsored in some way or another. You also already know that I don’t write about just any old thing. I like to write about things that fit this blog, and since I’m doing that anyway, sometimes an opportunity comes along to write for pay about things I’d normally tell you about.

The article mentioned PayPerPost specifically, as well as Google AdSense. I don’t have AdSense because, after nearly two years, my total there was about $28 - not enough for them to even send me a check. So, I see no sense in wasting blog real estate on it anymore.

However, I do make a nice side income from writing paid posts for PayPerPost and other companies such as PayU2Blog, LoudLaunch, Blogitive, and Blogsvertise, so I’ll continue with that effort. Eventually, I hope to diversify and make enough money online so that I can quit my regular job.

I’m currently looking into an opportunity that might make it possible to reduce my hours at work and eventually eliminate this job that’s hurting me so badly. Courtney Raymond Consultants is a leading financial services firm and they are looking for recruiters. I’ve got to tell you, this is looking mighty tempting to me. It’s an opportunity to work from home and make decent pay. I could set my own hours, too, and not be at the mercy of my current work schedule. This would make going out to lunch with my daughter more often possible. It would also mean I could go visit my sweet Mother a lot more often.

I don’t have to have previous sales experience since Courtney Raymond will provide me with everything I need to make contact phone calls, including the scripts. Of course, having great phone skills and being a self-starter are needed, since this would be operating my own home business.

While I do have a southern accent, I actually have excellent phone skills and a good grasp of proper English. I’m also highly motivated to work from home and discipline myself to all that entails. They suggest having other means of support (income) until the contacts begin to pay off, and I’ve got that as well. This can work up to be a full-time income on just part time hours. Pretty neat deal, if you ask me.
